I'm agnostic, but this is my favorite hymn. Written by Horatio Spafford, who had sent his wife and 4 daughters ahead to Europe on the SS Ville du Havre, while he finished some business in Chicago. All 4 daughters perished when the ship collided with the Loch Earn. As Spafford came across to join his wife, who survived, he wrote this song near the site where his 4 girls died. 😭
