Just read this again as we were leading a class on it, and it was just as powerful as the first time. I have instituted a lot of the principles in my life but gleaned new insight the second time around.

Many Non-Christians AND Christians alike have a distorted view of God and how we think he wants or expects us to live our lives. This book is written in allegory to illustrate some pretty eye-opening and astounding truths about how God views us and what he expects. It‘s a short read but may be pretty transformational. #emotionalhealth #pastoralcare #ministry #christianity

I LOVED this book. Read in 2017 in a very transitional season in my life, and in a lot of ways, I had never learned to identify my emotions, or at least the cause of them and navigate through. This opened my eyes to why emotions are GOOD and how God wants to use them as we walk through things. #counseling #ministry #pastoralcare #emotionalhealth

Pilu of the Woods | Mai K. Nguyen

Pilu of the Woods is a gorgeous comic that tackles complex emotional experiences like loss and loneliness in a way that I suspect children will find easy to relate to. Willow and Pilu both experience emotional outbursts, which they experience as little internal monsters. They quickly learn what happens if you try to suppress those feelings.
