✨ I get asked alot if someone can borrow my books, and I have yet to actually let anyone borrow one of my babies. I literally have a two paged contract that you have to sign, otherwise, go buy the damn thing yourself! Or hey! Library's are still magical place and library cards are very useful. No need for book borrowing. ✨📚😈🙅❌

aloslibrary I agree, I only borrow books to people I know I can just walk into their home and take it back from them (so just my mom). If I want someone to read a certain book of mine, I rather buy a copy to gift them. 🤷‍♀️📖📚 #dontTouchMyBooks #putMyBookDown 7y

abbsinwonderland @aloslibrary exactly! And with my subscription boxes, if I get a book I don't like, IDC. It's still mine and its still going on my self and you can't borrow that one either lol. 🙅❌ 7y

Avanders lol I'm the exact opposite. ? I have to really convince someone that I *really really* don't mind if my brand new book comes back looking "read"... I think I get it from my mom ?. There are a couple exceptions, though.. and I don't lend those out ?. Now borrowing--I don't do that. I have been known to dog-ear a page or two ??? 7y

Avanders Lol! I know.. some of my closest friends agree with you all! I seem to definitely be in the minority among book people 😜 That being said? I think it's weird that all these people are asking you to borrow your books... and I think your contract sounds perfectly reasonable! 7y

abbsinwonderland @Avanders I also get told alot that I'm pretty much the only person alot of people know that has a ton of books and have actually read them. It's kinda sad. Reading isn't really a big thing around me. Even when I was in school. But I fell in love with it so IDC lol 7y

Avanders Oh wow.. I suppose it makes some sense that they all ask you, then... and even more sense for you to have a contract! You're not a public library... and they do still exist 😜 Glad you fell in love with it! And sounds like you have a positive influence on those around you 🤗🤗 7y

monkeygirlsmama ?When I was 8-10 I wouldn't even loan my magazines without a system. I made library pockets w/library check out cards to fit in each. IF I agreed to loan you one, your name got written in the card which I kept along with the date of "check out". I then gave a 2wk period after which I charged a 5 cent late fee per day, just like the library. ?My friends didn't like it when I went after them for the money. ? 7y
