An easy, predictable read, if a bit preachy. But it didn‘t require much from me as a reader, which is what I need right now as I am down with strep. Full of early 1920s slang, and clear-cut good vs. evil.

I‘ve also decided to order this Bible from Guideposts. I have a study bible I read when I was a teenage girl and I read all of it from the beginning to the end but I like the idea of this being read every day and that it says it reads like an epic novel. I haven‘t ever read a daily Bible before. How will I find the time to read this and other books that I want to read? I don‘t want to only read this. I want to read other things too.

CatLass007 I think I have this book, but I‘m not sure. It may be on a list of books. I want because I‘ve definitely seen the cover. I noticed Anam Cara in the background, a book that I know I have. Enjoy! 4w

Mere Christianity | C. S. Lewis
Pickpick

A thoughtful, no-frills exploration of faith, morality, and human nature. Lewis breaks down complex ideas with clarity and grace. Deep without being preachy—definitely worth the read.

Finally read this after collecting the set. Unfortunately I‘d recently watched the later movie adaptation which is fairly close to the events in the book. As usual, some greater depth and understanding of characters and events through reading the book, and these increased the interest. Enjoyed, quite wholesome, and looking forward to Prince Caspian, the story of which I am quite unfamiliar.

Visited a couple castles this week, so here‘s mine!

“The castle of Cair Paravel on its little hill towered up above them; before them were the sands, with rocks and little pools of salt water, and seaweed, and the smell of the sea and long miles of bluish-green waves breaking for ever and ever on the beach. And oh, the cry of the seagulls! Have you heard it? Can you remember?”

#SundayFunday Have a great day and remember to tag me!

The family dynamic was so sweet and supportive. Not one argument except when a son and his mother had a goose hunting contest. Now, I have to decide if I am invested in the family's future to continue the series. Probably not.
