I liked how this page had no words but the pictures were able to speak for themselves and you can really feel what is happening.

The layout of graphic novels make it really easy to read and I think this book specifically is relatable for many students and would be a great recommendation for those students who may not find much joy in reading because of the fact that it is easy to read and follow the plot, plus the idea that they can see themselves as the characters.
This graphic novel is perfectly suited for children aged 10 and older because it deals with many real-world subjects. I think it is age appropriate for 10 year olds because they are mature enough to handle subjects such as bullying and the loss of pets which both are talked about in this graphic novel. It would be a great book club read or just free read in the classroom.

Discovering that the BSC series is available on Hoopla is a delight. These are just little bites of comfort.
Today‘s episode of my podcast is *extra* fun! Author Sara Shepard — who you know from Pretty Little Liars and The Lying Game, among others — stops by to talk about the first-ever Baby-Sitters Club Super Special, Baby-Sitters On Board. The gals live a teenage dream: a two-part friend vacay on a cruise and then to Disney World. Listen at the link in my bio!
Jessi is my favorite BSC character, and I enjoyed the Swan Lake audition storyline (it spoke to my 5th grade ballet-obsessed past self), but the child actor storyline was pretty weak. I did appreciate how they both came together at the end and there was character growth for Jessi.
I never read many of the Karen books so I don‘t remember her having a #Turkey but I was obsessed with the original series in grade school and read almost nothing else for a whole year. I must have owned dozens of them! #NovemberNarrative @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
Endings can sometimes be beginnings. They can be sad, but sometimes they bring happiness.
This book is a good comic that deals with bullying and how to navigate some of the issues that come with school. It can apply to a lot of children as it discusses how it feels to move and be in a new place.
