so-soI loved the structure of the story, I liked how she points out that small things matter, how she commented without judgment, through the lives of characters, caste system and religions. The judgment is the matter/problem of the reader. I agree that the prose is lush, gorgeous, beautiful ... but this is exactly kind of prose that makes me nervous and uncomfortable 🤷♀️
In my defense - The Ministry of Utmost Happiness was my favorite book in 2017.
