The Midnight Lock | Jeffery Deaver
post image
Pickpick

Lincoln Rhyme and Amelia Sachs have another outing in book 15 in this long running series.

A criminal, The Locksmith, is terrorising New York, and no locks seem to be able to keep him out as he breaks into people‘s houses and watches them while they sleep. Is this going to progress into a murder spree? Lincoln Rhyme seeks to hunt him down, but at the same time others are hunting Lincoln and trying to bring him down.

Andrew65 Overall this was a very good read and moved along well. Jeffrey Deaver certainly researched well how to break through locks, although at points I felt this got a bit too technical and slowed things down. As a result I struggled with the book a bit midway but it then picked up pace for me again as it got into the second half. 3y
Andrew65 Happy to recommend this book, with the slight caveat above, but always good to spend time with Lincoln and Amelia. Certainly some of the more intelligent crime fiction out there.

Thanks to #NetGalley, the author and the publishers for providing a copy of this book for me, for an an open and honest review. #TheMidnightLock
