#SurvivalSituation is probably one of my least favorite tropes...it often stresses me out (which is probably an indication of how well the book is written) but I really was amazed by Deliverance. Dickey got the balance right for my sensitive readerly constitution. 😬

The book was a real page-turner as the ending of each chapter gave me a need to read on and find out what was going to happen. I found Monique to be a very strong person who just wanted to protect her children. I would highly recommend this to those who are in an abusive relationship or those who love survival stories.
