Like so many books of its type, there is some generally useful thought and a heck of a lot of filler. Should‘ve been 5-10 pages. It‘s aimed at leadership levels, I‘d be wary of anyone in leadership who got much out of it. One would hope that experience, self reflection and personal growth would have gotten you there. But then management are often some of the least capable people in an org. I wouldn‘t recommend wasting the paper this is printed on.

I love the content of this book, even if the way it was written was a little challenging for me to follow. adrienne marie brown presents ideas about leadership in movements that require a collective action that profoundly resonate with me. She uplifts the people that inspired her, notable among them Octavia Butler.

I have to admit.. I only listened to this cause I thought it was on my 100 Essential Books poster but it wasn‘t 🥲 I‘m happy I got the chance to listen to it though! It was really interesting and quick read 📖

1. Sun Tzu said: The art of war is of vital importance to the State.

2. It is a matter of life and death, a road either to safety or to ruin. Hence it is a subject of inquiry which can on no account be neglected.

Today‘s #bookhaul from the free book table - Good to Great and Sword Art Online. Plus a cameo from the nutrition book I‘m currently reading. I should probably finish some of the books in my stack before adding any more to the pile! 😆 📚

Finally, I got my hands on a complete collection of concise series.

Desha I‘ve wanted to read these for a while now. If you do a review of any of them I‘d love to read it! 📚📚📚 11mo
Parvez @Desha Already read 48 laws of Power, Mastery, and Laws of Human nature. I can say anyone can start with laws of human nature and then get into 48 laws of power, as it is a little controversial regarding its subject matter. 11mo
Desha Thank you! I have browsed through 48 laws a few times and it‘s got some good stuff in it. I didn‘t know about Laws of Human Nature so I‘ll start there! 11mo
