IamIamIam @Ashley_Nicoletto I read it about 20 years ago & decided to do an ambitious Stephen King reread! I've been working on this tome for quite a while but sometimes I wish I had the abridged version! 😂 Ite feels more real now than it did when I was in college, that's for sure! 😄 7y

Another Unabridged Edition of The Stand PSA:

Chapter 38 is 9 pages of ways people who didn't die from the Superflu but died nonetheless. Skim it if you're interested but I felt like I wasted my time.

No great loss.

Chapter 26 was probably edited out in the abridged version. You get 18 pages of military transcriptions, riots, executions, and harried Presidential press conferences. Skim this at best and thank me later.
