pick1972, Jean McConville, 38 yo mother of 10, was dragged from her Belfast home, her children clinging to her legs. Her abduction was one of the most notorious episodes of The Troubles. This book is a searing chronicle of the lengths that people will go to in order to pursue a political ideal, and the ways in which societies mend – or don‘t – in the aftermath of a long and bloody conflict. I found this book most interesting. Highly recommended!
