"I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul"
I'm currently reading/listening to 5 books.
Two of them, one Historical Fiction, the other a Memoir, have referenced this poem!
A strange and interesting literary coincidence ?

BookmarkTavern Love this poem! 3w
TheHeartlandBookFairy @BookmarkTavern Honestly, I can't recall ever reading it, at least in its entirety, before now. But having it referenced in 2 books within a couple of days of one another (Spare, and The Lost Book of Bonn) was enough to send me hunting for it and now it's a favorite! 3w
BookmarkTavern I highly recommend heading to YouTube and finding a video of Morgan Freeman reading it. It‘s amazing. 💕 2w
TheHeartlandBookFairy @BookmarkTavern I'll definitely do that, thank you! 2w

Pickpick

I knew I would like this book, but I enjoyed it even more than I anticipated! My # is #LoveMyBookishLife so, how could I not love it! I love Nina's humor, her lists made me LOL, & her commitment to her lists and her schedule is quite on par with mine. A book about a book worm who works in a bookstore and loves nothing more than going home to hang out with her cat and read. Sub my dog for her cat & it's me 😅 Quiet, calm, (cont in comments)...

TheHeartlandBookFairy and order. And then, chaos! Discovering the father that she never met had just died, that she'd been written into his will, and now had new found siblings, nieces, nephew's & more family that she never knew about plus learning that the bookstore she works for is in danger of going under all coincides with discovering she may have acquired a boyfriend (that she doesn't think she has time for and didn't really even like. At first) who was on a trivia team competing against them. It's all a bit much. And it's an absolutely charming story! 2mo

My top 10 of 2022...

1st thing I'm going to confess is that my goal was 111 books and I fell short finishing the year at 95.

I'm always disappointed when I don't meet a goal but I'm gonna give myself a pass this year after spending the better part of 3 months purging & packing up 30 some years of stuff and moving.

Still, 95 books covered a lot of genres and I had to narrow my favorites down to 10.

The top 10 (cont in comments)

TheHeartlandBookFairy are in no particular order and included for many different reasons. One memoir, one fiction that reads like a memoir with and about food, Women's fiction, a mystery, and several historical fiction.
May this next chapter be the best one yet! I wish you happy reading in 2023 ❤️#Top10of2022 #LoveMyBookishLife

This was harder than I thought!
Choosing just 10 was so difficult so I ended up with 12 this year but it could have been even more!! My goal was 111 books, I achieved 128. The last few years my goal has been the same, 111 books. A couple of years I've read 30 to 50 more than so I guess that means I'm down a little this year 🤷‍♀️
So here they are, my top 12 books for 2020 in no particular order except perhaps the order read 😊 Cont. In comments

TheHeartlandBookFairy

📚 My top 12 includes:
📚 Seven historical fiction.
📚 Three memoirs.
📚 One paranormal/ psychological suspense.
📚 Three local authors.
📚 Five audiobooks.
📚 Three Kindle books.
📚 Five advanced copies to read for review for the author.
📚 One debut novel (solo debut).

❤️ It's been a year to remember for so many reasons, a year many of us will never forget! But it's also been a year full of blessings and good books 💕 We've flipped the calendar page to a new year and we're all ready to start a new chapter. The pen is in your hands my friends... What will you write for this year?
Happy reading ❤️

Posting my May goals a tad bit late, life's been nuts 😁 May goals include 4 hard copies, 2 audiobooks (1 not listed), 1 new release, 5 for Net Galley reviews, & 2 launch teams (1 not listed). I fell 1book short on my April goals, but I did read several books that were not originally on my list so... Nope, still feeling guilty 😅 Hopefully I'll get that one read this month even though it's not on the list 🤔😁
