Aven, born without arms, and Connor, with severe Tourette‘s, build a friendship when Aven‘s family move s to a new town and new school. As they work through their struggles, they become #exalted #springsentiments Facing DENIAL is a big challenge

#SpringSentiments Day 27: There is a feeling of being #exalted now that our little brown family has decided to send daughter to Seattle University for college. Apart from the strong Filipino community on campus, I think our decision was made for us when SU‘s President, a Jesuit Priest, read aloud from Mary Oliver‘s “Hummingbird” in his welcome speech to the 900 students admitted (out of 8000 applicants). Plus, the 22k/year scholarship helps a lot.
