Have any of you had experience as a reviewer for BookSirens? A rep contacted me on Goodreads after seeing I sometimes review ARCs. I was checking into it and one of the permissions I have to give would allow them to post on or edit on my behalf on GoodReads and that seems odd.

wanderinglynn That is weird. Can you ask what the permission allows them to do? If it allows them to actually edit your review, I‘d be wary. 4y
BlameJennyJane @Butterfinger @wanderinglynn is says they would get “access to your profile data” and “add and update book reviews”. That last part is what I find a tad odd. I‘d be cool with them seeing my review before they promote it but it does sound like they could actually edit it too? 4y

BlameJennyJane @Butterfinger ha ha! Me either! It‘s funny though, on Litsy something like that is assumed to be autocorrect because, hello, us Littens are clearly part of the top tier of grammarians on the planet! 😉 4y
tessavi I just got the same invite. on their site right before connecting it says they won't edit review, but the Goodreads connection shows they will get permission to do so 🤔 I mailed the person who sent me the invite about this. 4y

tessavi The person never responded but I got a “We noticed you tried connecting your Goodreads account“ email, which I answered with the same message. They quickly responded and asked me to provide my Goodreads profile URL and they will try to set up that way instead. Will let you know if it works :) 4y
tessavi Update: they already connected the URL and it shows my followers. I'd suggest contacting them if you're interested in joining 😉 4y
