Every time I read this book, I enjoy it a little bit more. While I'm not sure my students got much out of it, I still find myself surprised by the lengths the boys in this book go to in order to survive and assert their dominance over the others.
Alfoster I think they will later though. Mine always did after the fact. And I always had to explain to parents there wasn‘t cannibalism in the book!😳 2y
marleed When I first read this (back when we called them junior highs) there were no videos or access to R or even PG-13 rated visual content. I was horrified what happened in this book. Every reread (there‘s been several) brings me back to that junior high experience. 2y
