#2021Book13
While this has never been one of my favorites, I appreciate the clever allegory to the Russian Revolution. But, surprisingly enough, this is one of the books my students have enjoyed the most.

BarbaraBB What is generally your students‘ favorite? Has that changed over the years? 3y
JacintaMCarter @BarbaraBB With this particular class, they tend to hate everything. Not a single reader in the whole class. So I was shocked that this was the book they actually liked. 3y
BarbaraBB You can be proud you found something they did like!! (edited) 3y

mom2bugnbee This book was assigned school reading for me in 8th grade, & it was the first "adult' book that I read in one sitting. I'm now 48 3y
mom2bugnbee ... (cont) years old, & it remains one of my all-time favorites. I'm not sure I would have ever picked it up had it not been required reading! 3y
skewermann @JacintaMCarter if your students loved "Animal Farm" they will absolutely adore the modern-day equivalent, "Dire and Puny" (not to be confused with Fire and Fury" ?), the most scathing political allegory since George Orwell set down his pen. Caution: Depends (TM) required. Love Martha Skewermann, Founder, Global Allegorical Journalism Foundation ? #satire ? #Orwell https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081S5JLTX 3y
