My October #12BooksIn2025 pick. This one was the best of the month, but didn‘t make my top 20 list…sweet book though, especially if you like a curmudgeon for a main character. Spoiler alert: he‘s really a softy.

@TheEllieMo

TheEllieMo I do like a curmudgeon, I definitely have an affinity with them! 1w
Bookwormjillk I liked the cat the best 1w
GinaKButler @Bookwormjillk The cat was definitely pretty cool! 7d

June was a good month for me, but I think this look at family life in the lead-up to a wedding just edged it for me. Honourable Mentions to Redhead By The Side of the Road (also by Anne Tyler) and Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Read

peaKnit Ooh I sure enjoyed Atmosphere! 2w

I read many 4 star books in April and I don't know that this was the best, but it is the one I've thought of most often since, and recommended to people.

TheEllieMo I‘ve not read much in the way of science fiction, I should try to dip my toes into the genre more 2w
willaful @TheEllieMo I'd say this is fairly accessible, especially for those of us with a literary bent. 2w
