pickThe next installment in the neverending 87th Precinct series was a solid mystery about an actress who gets stabbed...twice. It was a fun complication of her being in a play that's about an actress getting stabbed, so there were several scenes that read a bit like an Abbott & Costello sketch lol McBain has always talked a lot about race relations in his books, but here it felt very heavy-handed. Still a solid entry AND I finally get to check ⬇️
