Khan's discussion of the origins of Khan Academy was much more fascinating than I'd imagined. His focus is on the need for students (for people, really) to learn--and learn thoroughly--at their own pace. As he considers this need, he also addresses the multitude of ways that our education system is broken and practical ways that we could address the breaks. Can't wait to see him speak at FETC in January!

In this informative page-turner, Salman Khan makes deep philosophical concepts on education understandable and brings home the problems that plague the flawed public education system. He writes in an engaging, concise and logical manner. The book really brought to light many fundamental misconceptions on our priorities and perspectives in the education. Definitely recommend for all parents, guardians or educators.
