Marguerite Bennett has constructed a great apocalyptic drama where the animals gain humanlike intellect. She layers the story with mystery, conspiracy, and even humor. Artist Rafael De Latorre & colorist Rob Schwager deserve praise for bringing this story and its many animals to life. I won't wait for the next trade; I plan to go buy the individual issues. OMG! This was so good! I may even have to start getting the monthly issues. It's a story of a girl and her dog after the animals "wake". They start talking and thinking for themselves. I'm glad I love and take good care of my animals!
