A failing farm. His father’s debt. And a struggling college track team. Will Langstrom has too many responsibilities, and the last thing he needs is Olivia Finnegan, a beautiful but troubled new transfer student. A smart mouth. A strong right hook. And a secret that could destroy her. Olivia is her own worst enemy, with a past she can’t seem to escape, and the last person she wants help from is a cocky track coach she can never seem to please. Refusing to be pushed away, Will is determined to save her. And determined to resist an attraction that could destroy them both.

Good googley moogley, this was excellent! And that's really saying something for me, because slow burn romance isn't usually my jam. But I adored every character... felt all the feels for Olivia and her traumatic backstory (slowly uncovered as you go), and hunky Will who is determined to help her while fighting his growing personal feelings because he's her track coach. A small age gap, but not problematic, and perfect if you prefer less spice!

I gave this 3 stars on SG. While I liked it overall, there were a few aspects that bothered me, like the fat phobic comments the namesake character made and some internalized misogyny on her part. The audiobook was released in 2016, and I'm going to attribute the problematic stuff to that and give O'Roark one more try. This has some dark elements, so check the CWs if that's something that might bother you.

This is an age gap (ish) romance about college coach and student who has the problem of sleep running and a lot of traumatic details about her past unfolds. I LOVED this, its a great story and very agnsty.
