Abigail is a real estate agent whose pride is Persimmon Commons. She loves her neighbors, enjoys her job, and has fun planning activities, especially the book club. But when new neighbors move in, things get a bit chaotic. For starters, Garrett is HOT, like supermodel hot, his sister Gretchen is a prudy snob with an agenda against Abigail and her book club, and Meredith is just... pink. Abigail tries to navigate things as any true professional would, but as Halloween draws near, things get even worse, and now the only thing scarier than ghosts is Gretchen's attitude. Will Abigail ever get rid of Gretchen without losing her shot with Garrett?

This was a fun short read, with likeable characters and an easy to follow storyline. I enjoyed the book club battle and the initial snarkiness of Gretchen (who forms the competing bookclub). I also liked getting to dive deeper into what made Gretchen the way she appears to be. The budding romance was sweet to witness also. A quick,enjoyable read in one sitting read.⭐⭐⭐⭐
