The French Bookshop Murder: A brand-new utterly gripping cosy crime series | 
so-soThis book had me at “French bookshop.” But while the world-building had me swooning, the pacing slowed things down more than I expected. The mystery is gentle, almost meandering, which isn‘t a dealbreaker in cozy-land, but I did find myself wishing the plot would pick up the pace. It‘s a pleasant cozy, but one that didn‘t leave me counting down for the sequel.
pickThis is a truly cosy murder mystery., It has a modern Agatha Christie feel to it. It's a fun and easy read. Perfect if you like a puzzle and picturesque settings. The plot is really original and well written. The mystery was clever and the big reveal was well done. I had a feeling who it might be but wasn't sure. Zoe is a fun lead and I loved Russel so much. The characters are interesting and quirky in their own ways. #Netgalley 4*
