This one took me by surprise. It was really good! The dialogue was some of the best I‘ve read in contemporary romance. Great banter! The pacing was excellent and the plot was well constructed. I found the main character‘s journey to overcome everything she‘d been through emotionally to be very relatable. I rarely laugh out loud at a book‘s attempt at humor but this one actually did make me laugh more than once!

I really enjoyed this contemporary romance featuring the world of high powered chefs and food culture. The main characters were well developed and the enemies to lovers trope was well done. Banter was on point! Also, the serious notes on her recovery coming off an abusive relationship were well executed. Overall, a great read! #romance

A chef trying to reenter the profession after fleeing the country and an abusive boyfriend clashes with her neighbor, a celebrated Michelin starred chef in Durham. Though heavy on the heroine‘s interior monologues that reiterate her shame at having been victimized, the scenes of her chemistry with the initially Ramsey-esque tattooed and bearded nemesis are entertaining. With food porn and intriguing secondary characters. #romantsy
