Such a beautiful story. Bennet is carrying heavy grief, but I‘m glad she realizes it‘s not her fault and easily forgives herself. Do men like Henry even exist, because he‘s perfect?! No spice for most of the book, just pent up frustration, until the last quarter of the book. I ignored my family and devoured this book in an afternoon. Book #86 in 2025 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was an interesting premise for a romance. Bennet is drowning in her grief and depression. Her roommate sets her up on a date and she has a panic attack before it. She then hides, gets drunk at the restaurant across the street and runs into Henry. They then start to build a friendship to help her find her passion. They end up falling in love, obvs.

A failed date turned insta-friends that comes full circle with, of course, the required conflict of an HEA romance. This was a good read.

I was fully invested in the romance between Bennet and Henry. Henry is the perfect boyfriend. Of course I wanted them to end up together. If the book had ended 50 pages earlier, it would have been the perfect book. But the author had to add some unneeded tension and obstacles to the relationship. I hated that so much. Not every couple needs to break up and get back together to prove their love.

I just worked six days in a row and I'm glad to have the next two days off. They will include reading this book.

Bennet and Henry are just the cutest 🥰
There are lots of bumps in the road in this romance. Bennet is suffering from grief, while Henry does his best to help her find her passion and be patient with her while she grapples.
Of course, a happily ever after is eventually reached.

This romance was not the positive, fun story I expected. Read my full review here: https://debbybrauer.org/#passion-project
Publication is expected April 8.

I didn‘t even mean to read this one. I very rarely read BOTM books month of, but I was stuck in the car for about 8 minutes with only my Blue Box from the PO. The first 15-ish pages had me questioning my choice, but before I knew it, I was invested. This was really good! A miscommunication trope I could‘ve done without, but otherwise, pure gold. No smut. No cheese. Just the way I like my romances. I‘ll definitely be reading Sperry‘s sophomore book
