pickA beautiful read in anticipation of our upcoming trip to Paris. Easy to read little snapshots of Paris in the 1920‘s. From lunches with Gertrude Stein to dinners at little bistros along the Seine, it‘s an easy read for anyone who loves Hemingway or the city of Paris.
pickI read this book in a short amount of time, but I feel like it should be read at a slower pace and savoured properly, or maybe one should come back to it and re-read parts to fully appreciate Hemingway's writing.
It's such a gem.
This is my most recent read, and I enjoyed it immensely.
Getting a glimpse into the lives and friendships of so many literary greats, was incredible.

pickWarning: book has very little to do with picnics. Only on a few occasions does Hemingway picnic. I wanted more picnic, and less f.scott penis. All in all worth reading just for Hemingway‘s roasts on other writers. Eg = I do not think I have ever seen a nastier-looking man... Under the black hat, when I had first seen them, the eyes had been those of an unsuccessful rapist. [on Brit poet Percy Wyndham Lewis]
This is one of my absolute favorite books so I‘m hopeful the series will be just as magical.

Magnífica obra que lleva al lector por las calles y los personajes literarios e intelectuales del París de los años 20. Cuando vi Midnight in Paris no pude dejar de recordarla, quizá por eso me gustó tanto esa película.
Oh you delightful, curmudgeon. Haven't read much Hemingway, but this one is a treat.
