Finding Baby Holly
Finding Baby Holly: Lost to a Cult, Surviving My Parents' Murders, and Saved by Prayer | Holly Marie
4 posts | 3 read
Holly Marie was forty-two years old the day she found out she was missing. At ten months old, Holly Marie was brought to the door of a church by three barefoot women in white robes and head coverings. Adopted by the pastor and raised in a loving Christian home, Holly nevertheless struggled with the ache of not knowing what had happened to her biological parents. She still felt their absence even as she married and started a family of her own. When two detectives showed up at the restaurant where she worked and informed her that she had a large family in Florida who had been searching for her for over 40 years, Hollys past became the reality of her present, and she began the sometimes painful journey of discovering the truth about her origins: Her parents had been brutally murdered, their case still unsolved. With the help of law enforcement across four states, forensic genealogists, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and her newly discovered family members, the missing pieces began to come together. Except thesewhy had her parents been murdered? And who had murdered them? She soon found out that the truth leads not always to answers but sometimes to more questions, that it also brings healing and restoration, and that we must surrender our unknowns to God until, in His perfect timing, all truths are revealed. Finding Baby Holly is the true, inspiring story of a wife and mother who was missing for over forty years after her parents murders, the persistent detectives who never stopped investigating, and the birth family who never lost hope in finding her.

Absolutely beautiful yet heart-wrenching story. Again, I don't like to actually review memoris because they are telling their truth, and that is all that matters.

This really is an amazing story.

At 10 months old, Holly was handed over to a church pastor by three women wearing white robes.

Over 40 years later, she finds out that her biological parents were murdered around the time she was given up for adoption.

We still don't know who killed them or why, but the story of Holly meeting her biological relatives is attributed to a God who has been watching over her the whole time.

I saw Holly's story on 20/20, before her book came out, and decided I wanted to read it. So glad I did. I found it to be inspirational. Her strength from God is amazing. I want to have the faith that she does. God is a very vital part of her life and she doesn't apologize for it.

Can you imagine as a baby being given to a someone by a group of women? Growing up wondering about your parents? Struggling with that? Then 40 years later ⬇️

Monica5 finding your real extended family? That's Holly's story. It's a story of how God was with her throughout. How He made things work out just right throughout every stage of her life, even when she rebelled.

A very inspirational story. One I believe anyone would enjoy. It made me really think about my relationship with God. How sometimes when I let the world control my time, I don't also put Him first. Then things start going wrong in my life. I am pretty sure I am not the only one that lets this happen.
