Pickpick

Real Estate is competitive so Kirstin gets in at the ground level (literally) by finding out from funeral homes when someone rich dies. That way she can attend the funeral & network - hopefully benefitting from any property sales commission. When she attends the funeral of Caroline Milford (author & child psychologist), it seems that Kirstin may have struck gold. (Continued)

OutsmartYourShelf There's a substantial beachfront property & Kristin just has to convince Caroline's family to let her list it. She poses as a friend of Caroline's from an online bridge club but several strange accidents & bad weather lead to Kristin being stranded on the island. As she observes the family from close quarters, she realises that there may be a killer amongst them & that Caroline may have been their first victim. 2y
OutsmartYourShelf Another slow burn novel from the author, which is something they seem to do very well. Kirstin starts off as rather mercenary but you do start to warm to her over time. I thought it was well-written with an interesting plot with one or two surprising twists & turns. Kirstin may not be telling the truth but the other characters all have something to hide too. I thought the romance angle with Luke was a little lukewarm (pun intended) though, 2y
OutsmartYourShelf & although I rather liked the unethical Kirstin for most of the book, the final chapter sort of left me feeling a bit wrong-footed. 3.5🌟

My thanks to publishers, Bloodhound Books, for the opportunity to read an ARC. I am voluntarily giving an honest review.
