pickGosh. Hardest ‘easy book‘ the protagonist Iris stumbles across (on social media) the woman she thinks responsible for the breakup of her marriage… except now there is no sight of her (ex)husband. What there is however is a growing social media presence.,, 2 kids and a husband who is NOT Iris‘ex. Shenanigans follow. So many feelings about this. Iris is clearly hurting and does something terrible. That being said let‘s thread below 🧵
Itchyfeetreader Despite all of her terrible things (and there is plenty there) iris is also really hurting. In a different world she would have had children, in this one her closest friends are finding new connections without her because of young children of the same age and she is clearly very lonely. And her loneliness was written in a way that made me hurt. Iris sadness and efforts to fix it will stay with me (edited) 1mo
