As well as a book haul, I took the opportunity to get a #LibraryHaul while I was in Morecambe. Despite being over an hour's drive away, it's still in my home county of Lancashire, so I'll be able to return them locally 😊 (an hour's drive to the library is long, right?)
All GN's - I'm starting with the Marvel Pride collection 🏳️‍🌈🦸🏻‍♀️ mainly because I'm too scared to start with Junji Ito this late at night 🧟‍♀️😰

AnneCecilie I can‘t imagine an hour drive to the library. When it‘s not icy, it‘s takes me 10 min to walk to mine. And the main library downtown is a 20 min metro trip away. 2mo

Bookwomble @AnneCecilie I wouldn't do an hour's drive to the library, either, but as I was there anyway... I commented as there are Littens in some huge countries, and I guess for some that journey might not seem too much. The things we do for books 😊 2mo

This is a compilation of coming out moments in the Marvel comic world, snippets of stories featuring the lgbtq+ characters and variants, essays about the evolving lgbtq+ inclusion in Marvel comics, and also HIV and AIDS addressed in the comics and through essays from staff. While entertaining, it was also a good education on these specific topics for myself.

KathyWheeler When my husband and I were first married, in the 80s, we used to read this comic, Alpha Flight, with a character, North Star, that we were sure was going to be the first out gay character that we knew of. Instead, they chickened out and made him a terrorist instead. Because that was better? We were so disappointed and annoyed. I‘ll have to check this out. 10mo
