Mehso-so

This novella is exactly what the title states- an unnamed father & son travel from their daily CT life in the wake of their son‘s brutal diagnosis. The pair spend his last days in the MT wilderness, joining the hunt for a man-eating grizzly while they contemplate mortality, nature, the afterlife & love. It‘s a quick & emotional read- but the passive verbs get this off to a bit of a shaky start. I‘m sure this will resonate more with fathers/sons!

Pickpick

I received an ARC of this book about a terminally ill boy and his father who embark on an adventure to the great wilderness of Montana as the boys final wish to kill a bear terrorizing the area. Although this novel is short, it is very thought provoking in what we truly believe what happens to us in the end. It‘s heartbreaking but also enlightening to follow along in this journey of bonding through the father and son.
