The 17-yr-old illegitimate daughter of the King of England has been kicked out of her 9th boarding school in 6 years & arrested for arson, so she's being sent to England to live with her father, who has full custody of her, but she has never met. She becomes the main character in a scandal and a suspicious death.

Mehso-so

The 13y/o wants to read this, so I had to check it out first.

Different spin on the royal lineage. Evan is the king's bastard daughter. The royal family wants nothing to do with her. Soon she's the prime suspect in a murder.

TW: drugs, attempted rape

willaful The cover made me think it was a vampire story, somehow.... 11mo

Pickpick

I picked this book up with a couple of misconceptions. First I thought it was by the same author who wrote the Gallagher Girl books (nope, that's Ally Carter), and I thought it was about royal vampires - I am a by the cover buyer, I rarely read blurbs. Despite the lack of vampires, I really liked it. YA tends to be very hit or miss for me, but this one was a big hit.
