The Rotting
The Rotting | Josh A. Murphy
1 post | 1 read | 2 to read
The Police arrived, expecting little more than a domestic dispute. After all, petty crime was no stranger to Windsor Tower, the home of the Warrington's desolate and destitute. But nothing could have prepared the responding officers for what they found... for the bloodshed that awaited them.
A massacre; one which was slowly threatening to grow.....

Pickpick

@Lauranahe Thanks for putting this on my radar. Couple of things about this book. I could not eat while reading this book. It was gross. Be thankful I left off the photos of the wrist rash and decomposing zombie on the collage. That bucket of popcorn is what I wanted to throw at the movie of this book in my head. At every possible fork in the road, the wrong path was taken. Almost comically. Murders at one of the most dangerous buildings in 👇🏼

Reggie Warrington in the UK will set of a chain of events. A brother and sister reunite. A man walking home from getting drunk is asked for help. There is a search for a father. But no one notices the infection that is taking place, the one that leads to….The Rotting! Lol, for being independently published it was decently entertaining and not bad. I wish the author all the luck. A disgusting 🤢 Pick! (edited) 1y
Lindy I think I will stay away from this one. Thanks for the heads up! 😉 1y
Suet624 You are so brave. 1y

Bookzombie Disgusting pick, you say! Stacked! 1y
Lauranahe I‘m glad you…enjoyed it? It‘s definitely something. It‘s not the grossest thing I‘ve read, but pretty close. 😵‍💫 1y
Reggie @Lindy lol, You‘re welcome! 😇 1y
Reggie @Suet624 you can definitely skip this one, Sue. Lol 1y
Reggie @Bookzombie I remember being a kid and waking up at 4am on a Sat morning and watching some crazy horror movie on HBO where a comet hits near a farm and poisons everything. The little girl gets attacked by chickens and the farmer opens an apple to see that it‘s Filled with worms. I remember the rest of the day I felt queasy. That‘s how this book made me feel. Lol Hope you like it! 1y
Reggie @Lauranahe I did like it. But man was I frustrated by that daughter. There‘s a drag queen who has the 5 G‘s. Good God Girl Get a Grip. Jenny needed 4. Good God Girl Get out!!!! Lol Her compulsion to find her father was killing me. And in the end it took out her, her brother, and Mike!!! Crazy! 1y
Lauranahe @Reggie 😂 I like those G‘s! 1y
vivastory I'm with @bookzombie You had me at disgusting, lol 1y
Reggie @vivastory I went to go see Megan. It was alright. It was missing something for me. AND because people were taking their 5yo‘s to go see it, I got to hear kids get traumatized in real time. There were definitely 2 kids never having dolls in their room ever again. 1y
vivastory Lol, natural consequences. There's a YouTuber whose reviews I like and she said it was a bit like Malignant. I think I'll be waiting for streaming. I do plan on watching either Christine or The Menu this weekend 1y
Reggie @vivastory Yes because I ended up laughing a lot, I get the Malignant reference. I just think Malignant was 10x this movie. I watched Christine last night right before bed. The old 80s movie about Stephen King‘s car story right? It‘s so good. I put in on in the background when I game sometimes. It‘s on Hulu right now. 1y
vivastory Yeah, it's going to leave Criterion Channel at the end of the month and I definitely want to see it before it does. I'll be curious to see Bryan Fullers version. 1y
Reggie @vivastory I‘m over all the remakes. Leave the good stuff alone! If they remake Silver Bullet I will riot. Also, if you have Shudder watch The Wolf of Snow Hollow. It‘s sooo good. 1y
vivastory I have to say that I agree with you about remakes, but I love what Bryan Fuller did with Hannibal so much that I can't help but be pumped for Christine. I'm planning on renewing my Shudder subscription soon, so I will add Wolf of Snow Hollow to my watchlist. I was enjoying their series 101 Scariest Horror Movie Moments etc 1y
vivastory BTW, a movie I watched on Shudder a few months ago that I really enjoyed is Deadstream. I know that some people find the MC obnoxious but I thought it was a great horror comedy 1y
