Anno's art is messy and expressive, which may put some off. I like her style. Its the most interesting thing about the book. I love the cover with its ragged desperation. Its just a pity the story itself wasn't as dynamic.

More horror story than anything, this world is filled with awful people, including the protagonist. Its a dark, depressing narrative with plot threads that often go nowhere. Its meandering and often doesn't seem to know what it wants to say. It deals with eating disorders but doesn‘t do it well. Big trigger warning for this title.

I thought this book about what is expected of women's bodies was good and important. I don't love the art style, but it's not bad. Trigger warnings for this work: eating disorders, diet culture, some violent sex.
