I thought this might have a little more to offer than it did. The illustrations are lovely, and this will be fun for Disney-loving reluctant or struggling readers, but it didn't add to the story like I thought it would based on the title. #Manga #Disney #Fairytale #Retelling

I was hoping to love this manga from the Beast's POV but I'm saddened to say it felt short.

It's adapting the latest Disney film version, which I was meh about, and then condensing it further so you get some key moments but it's just missing a lot of story to be able to really tell the story effectively and especially from his perspective.

Another #netgalley title. Slightly better than Belle's Tale since this felt more like original content and was more illustrative than sequential (if I'm making any sense?) but still suffered from gaps and pacing. If both books had been longer and the scenes better developed, I would have enjoyed them more #fabulousfebruary
