Book 3 in the DI Ruth Hunter Series, and just as good as the first two books in the series as a serial killer becomes fixated on Ruth putting her and her family at risk. Also interesting times for Nick and pleasing to see he is keeping off the booze, although I‘m a bit worried about him. Can‘t wait for book 4.

Someone is killing men. Brutal killings. Nick‘s old friend is found dead. Some friend he turned out to be. Nick is off the booze (which is also great for the reader), active with AA, falling in love… Ruth is still looking for her former partner who disappeared. Great follow-up to the previous books in the series. I just love Snowdonia and the people in this book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

EadieB Loved this too! 2y
Andrew65 I need to get hold of this.

Long may Nick stay on the wagon.

The Dee Valley Killings is the third book in the DI Ruth Hunter series. A man's body turns up torn to pieces. Ruth realizes that she is now tracking a deadly serial killer. When the killer begins to claim a personal connection to her, Ruth fears a grisly end to her and her family. Most of the main characters in this series are flawed. Ruth battles with her smoking and missing her partner Sarah who has not showed up yet.

EadieB Nick is still going to AA and is helping his friend Amanda with her alcohol problem. I'm looking forward to see how their relationship develops. If you like dark, psychologically complex characters and a gripping rollercoaster of a plot, then this book is for you. #TheDeeValleyKillings #SimonMcCleave #20in4Readathon #BookSpinBingo 2y
