Ferris Buellers Day Off meets Nick and Noras Infinite Playlist in this romp through the city that never sleeps from the New York Times bestselling author of Since Youve Been Gone. Two girls. One night. Zero phones. Kat and Steviebest friends, theater kids, polar oppositeshave snuck away from the suburbs to spend a night in New York City. They have it all planned out. Theyll see a play, eat at the citys hottest restaurant, and have the best. Night. Ever. What could go wrong? Well. Kind of a lot? Theyre barely off the train before theyre dealing with destroyed phones, family drama, and unexpected Pomeranians. Over the next few hours, theyll have to grapple with old flames, terrible theater, and unhelpful cab drivers. But there are also cute boys to kiss, parties to crash, dry cleaning to deliver (dont ask), and the worlds best museum to explore. Over the course of a wild night in the city that never sleeps, both Kat and Stevie will get a wake-up call about their friendship, their choicesand finally discover what they really want for their future. That is, assuming they can make it to Grand Central before the clock strikes midnight.

This story of three friends misadventures during a single night was a fun read.

Finished this one last weekend. Really enjoyed the misadventures these two friends went on when they took an evening trip into NYC, only to get separated, neither with a phone, plans taking a backseat to the unexpected. It was a fun ride. Also, the side story of the "adventures in babysitting" was hysterical.

4⭐I loved this book! It‘s a super fun read. I loved the focus on Kat and Stevie‘s friendship, and the way the story took me on their adventures. Honestly, stories that involve miscommunications or bad timing can make me anxious, but this one was a fun ride.

There are a lot of characters, and there is a lot going on but somehow Morgan Matson makes it all work! I laughed, I smiled, I swooned. Recommended!

rachelsbrittain I don't think I've seen the B&N special edition but with as gorgeous as the cover is on its own I imagine it's pretty spectacular 3y
