The 3 Little Pigs/ Los tres cerditos is a TL book retold by John Ducan, illustrated by Wes Ware, and translated by Natalia C. Foce. This story is the classic story of the three pigs. The pigs are trying to build their houses, but the wolf destroys them. The wolf could destroy the brick house, and he was disappointed. At the end of the story, the author adds three pigs are taking the wolf to a fair to cheer him up. #UCFLAE3414SP21

StephanyNunez This book is in English and Spanish. The 3 Little Pigs/ Los tres cerditos is great for partner reading (PR). We can have a Spanish-speaking ELL student and a proficient English student working together. The ELL students can listen to the correct pronunciation of the words while reading the text in their native language. #UCFLAE3414SP21 3y
StephanyNunez The resource below gives teacher strategies for partner reading with ELL students and information about peer-assisted learning. https://www.readingrockets.org/article/best-practice-ells-peer-assisted-learning, The UDL principle I recommend for this story is 2.4 ( promote understanding across language). EL strategy 32 (use students pair for team learning, especially for reports, experiments and projects.). #UCFLAE3414SP21 3y
ztorres This is awesome, having books that are bilingual are great resources for ELL students. Not only will they have books to read they can also be engaged in the classroom. This types of books will allowed them to grow and develop new vocabulary. 3y
