pickThe vanderbeeker books are the very definition of heartwarming. I loved this one and while the usual animal and kid related hijinks ensue, there‘s a lot of deeper stuff here about family, culture, race, growing apart, children of immigrants, etc. very thoughtfully approached too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
