I loved this book! Heard about it on the code switch podcast in the episode about the best books released in 2020. A book of poems detailing coming of age as a Mexican American, he romanticized the ruggedness of youth and the sharp pain of growing, loving, death, and questioning identity.

“Every looking out also implies enclosure. Out there, where I could be anything, I placed a silver chain around my neck and it fit like a slipped halo.”
