The Accomplice is the 7th book in the Theodore Boone series by John Grisham. The series is written for the young adult, middle grade audience. The fact that Grisham is the author, is the only reason I read this series. It‘s a good book for young readers. This has been a good series with fundamental knowledge of the legal system, valuable lessons, and a truly good kid at the heart of it all.

I read this to my nine year old and it sparked a lot of in-depth conversations about the justice system, fairness, and doing the right thing. He enjoyed it and is looking forward to reading more from Theo the kid lawyer. Heavy issues such as teen drinking, perjury, and economic inequalities were presented in a way that he could understand. It doesn‘t work out perfectly for everyone, and it‘s a great lesson in being responsible for your actions.
