Pickpick

Multi-awardwinning Quebec cartoonist Michel Rabagliati captures the humour of daily life in his series of graphic novels about Paul. I believe this is the 6th one, and it‘s definitely his most poignant. Paul, who hates change, must come to terms with aging and loneliness. I especially love the portrayal of Paul‘s little dog companion, Cookie. #Translation by Helge Dascher & Rob Aspinall. #CanadianAuthor #comics #shadowgiller2021

I‘ve had little dogs who get cold feet in the winter. This scene: Paul scooping up Cookie the toy poodle and warming him by tucking him inside his jacket… ❤️

GondorGirl In the winter I often see our neighbor carrying his small dog this way. Romeo (the dog) loves the fire hydrant in our front yard, but it's too far to walk in the snow. We shovel a spot for him when we do our sidewalk. 3y

Okay, I‘ve been to Google and back: apparently a Queen E cake has dates in it, as well as a broiled coconut topping. I want one!

LeahBergen And now I just went and looked it up. I want one, too! 3y
Lindy @LeahBergen 👍I have a recipe for broiled coconut topping that I‘ve used a lot, but the term ‘Queen Elizabeth cake‘ is totally new to me. 🍰 3y

I feel immediate resonance with a character who recognizes fonts. Paul gets extra points for knowing the font‘s creator is Erik Spiekermann.
