This book was dark and full of fantastical elements, but it did fall a little flat for me. From page 1 it delves into the story and action, without explanation throughout the story which kind of irked me. The MC Estelle is brave and feisty, but her decisions were questionable. The story is fairly repetitive at beginning and the end, but the middle was great. Pacing felt a little off but overall the book was good.
