#SuperSeptember update: four goals met, 1 DNF completed another; doubt I‘ll get to my last goal as I have a queue of borrowed books I need to work on next. Will try to get to Spin by the end of the month.

Zeus was not only my #doublespin this month, but it put me atop Mt Everest for my unofficial #MountTBR challenge! Now to see if I can focus enough to read my own books to get to Mt Olympus.

Thanks for hosting @Andrew65 always awesome.

Mehso-so

I‘m kind of disappointed, tbh. This “journey” was rambling, disjointed, and had very little of the framing modern-day trip. I found the Zeus stuff interesting but didn‘t understand the organization very well. There was a LOT of “but that story is beyond the scope of this book” and while true, lots of digressions that would have bloated this book, it still feels like a blow-off. Should have been better.
#doublespin done

Agamemnon, however, had always treated the world as though it were his by Divine Fiat and that, because of this, things would always turn out for the best no matter what he chose to so. Sometimes, his efforts appeared to be inspired.... At other times, however, his decisions seemed destructively thickheaded.... But in Agamemnon‘s mind, it was important not to admit having made a mistake.

This attitude seems familiar...

ravenlee @Hooked_on_books and I‘m betting he would have handled the pandemic really well, just really well. 4y

#SuperSeptember update
First two done, 45% on the tagged, DNFed Regina, haven‘t started Spin. And getting the Kendi yesterday from the library affects things, but I‘m trying to make progress on Zeus before switching gears.
Overall I feel like I‘m doing pretty well.

Andrew65 You‘re doing great, well done 👏👏👏 4y
charl08 Nice work! 4y
ravenlee Oh, I forgot - almost done with the readaloud, too! About ten pages to go, so finish today or tomorrow. 4y

I‘m taking a stab at #SuperSeptember with the following goals:
Finish Mercury Striking on Hoopla
Read candidate guide on Kamala Harris on Hoopla
Read the tagged for #doublespin
Finish I Am Regina for kiddo history preview
Start and maybe finish Spin for a #bookspinbingo
Finish current readaloud with the kiddo to complete the Tuesdays at the Castle series

Things are tough (so different from the last six months 🙄) so we‘ll see how this works out.

ravenlee If I accomplish these goals (or most of them), I will also summit Mount Everest in my unofficial #MountTBR challenge! 4y
Andrew65 Good luck, great goals 😊👍 4y
