⭐️⭐️⭐️ I liked this classic horror story but it wasn‘t my favorite. I am grateful to The Novel Watching Crew for talking this one out with me after I read it because I wasn‘t sure if the book wanted me to believe in the ghosts or was trying to tell me the woman was crazy. We worked it out, but what did you think?

Butterfinger I am still angry with the uncle - not wanting to be bothered with problems, while the governess thinks evil beings are after his niece and nephew. It's the uncle that makes me mad. 4y
mollyrotondo @Butterfinger yeah what was up with the uncle? Maybe Miles would not have been so influenced by the man (I forget his name now) if his uncle was around more and actually took an interest in these kids. 4y

jb72 @mollyrotondo @ElizaMarie @Butterfinger I feel like the uncle knew what was going on. Maybe it frightened him. Not an excuse to abandoned your children. Part of me thinks maybe everyone but the governess was a ghost. 👻 4y

ElizaMarie @jb72 Maybe the Uncle was an “out of sight out of mind“ type of man. Like he thought/knew what was going on but if he didn't listen to it or actively think of it it wasn't “real“ like a burry his head type of man! 4y
