Another Time, Another Place
Another Time, Another Place | Jodi Taylor
5 posts | 6 read | 5 to read
The twelfth book in the bestselling Chronicles of St Mary's series. If you love Jasper Fforde, Ben Aaronovitch or Doctor Who, you won't be able to resist Jodi Taylor. At long last it's all over. Job done. Max has her life back and everything is set for the traditional happy ending. Except, this is St Mary's and if something can go wrong it will. Disaster is piled upon catastrophe. A new Head of Security. A new Director of St Mary's. Historians lost in time. And Max dishonourably discharged. Jobless and homeless, she receives an offer she cannot refuse and suddenly finds herself in another time and another place. Just a way to pass the weeks until she can reunite with Leon - or so she thinks. Because events are on the move and, as usual, St Mary's is at the centre of the storm.

7-5-22: My 65th finished book of 2022! Book 12 in the series. Max is faced with a lot this time around. While her husband Leon and son Matthew are away, Max must deal with new adversaries in the form of bosses at St. Mary‘s. Things go horribly wrong on a jump to ancient Babylon which leads Max on a new path with an old friend. This one was highly enjoyable and fast paced. So happy there is a #13 already out! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣6️⃣5️⃣

Bloody bollocking hell! Another St Mary's that's leaving me craving the next book. Wish I had a pod to travel into the future and read the next book(s) right now.

Tudor England
Babylon
Dishonourable discharge + unemployment

Lots of things go tits up in this one.

squirrelbrain Love this review! (It‘s very you…😜) 3y
julesG @squirrelbrain I channelled my inner Maxwell. 😁 3y
ralexist This is my favorite series! It's also my dream job of it existed (although it could, how would I know?). I've only done them via audiobook, which I highly highly recommend if you get the chance. I'm making my way through the Time Police books via audiobook as well. 3y
julesG @ralexist I've listened to a few of the audiobooks, too. You're right, it's a great series. 3y

I gave in. I wanted to push reading book 12 of the St Mary's series until shortly before Christmas, when the next Christmas short story is published, but I just couldn't wait any longer.

Started this morning and will finish soonish. 😁

Is it still #20in4 #readathon @Andrew65? I started Saturday, so it probably still is.

PS: just noticed that my pile of blankets and pillows matches the colours on the cover (and on my kindle).

I'm always amazed at how brilliant Jodi Taylor is. How she weaves this world together. Listened/Read in one day. Couldn't put it down. Can't wait to see where Max goes next!
