I decided to set this one down for a bit. I'm having a hard time getting into the writing style, and I definitely hope to try again soon, but for now I prefer to take a break from it! #crimefiction
My ONE qualm with this book so far: the writing is pretty choppy. That might be an issue with translation, or perhaps a result of the book having 2 authors? Or it could just be the book's style. I am very interested in the story's central case so I'm reading on happily, BUT I hope I get into the groove with this book soon! #crimefiction
Less than 50 pgs in, but fully absorbed in this police procedural already. This one has all the hallmarks of a piece of Nordic noir that I'm destined to love: it starts with a shocking act of violence, and promises a complex plot with a sharp eye for investigative details.
