I was surprised with this one. I didn‘t think I would like it much but I did. It sucked me in at the beginning and I fell in love with the characters. There was suspense and romance and a lot of overcoming very hard times. It was predictable but that didn‘t take away from the story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🎧 Zane Bigelow grew up in a beautiful, perfectly kept house in North Carolina‘s Blue Ridge Mountains. Strangers and even Zane‘s own aunt across the lake see his parents as a successful surgeon and his stylish wife, making appearances at their children‘s ballet recitals and baseball games. Only Zane and his sister know the truth.

I just finished this book for #bookoplathon. This book completes the prompt Read A Sad Book and it was a sad book. It also had some nice moments so it wasn‘t all sad but I‘m disappointed that I didn‘t like this book as much as I liked her other books.

Another of Nora Roberts suspense/women's fiction/romance, this one tackling domestic abuse. I found it a cathartic read, but had the suspense angle figured out from far too early which lost some of the suspense.

Loved Darby's energy and competence with her landscaping business and enjoyed Zod the most excellent dog.
