panThis book was not good. I enjoyed the beginning, but it really went off the rails and it felt endless. I just wanted to finish it, now I have. It started off as a fun book about pirates killing unsuspecting boaters but I don‘t even know how to address the insanity in a bad way that this then turned into. What a mess.
I‘ve been reading very slowly but consistently and that‘s all you can ask for, right? Just halfway through The Island and it has taken an unexpected turn. I cannot wait to find the movie when I finish this book.
Oh how I love dated books. Here, the intrepid reporter is going to speak to his boss who is upset that a Woody Allen cover story has been cancelled. Boy if Peter Benchley knew then how that was going to go 😂 I don‘t think there are any monsters in this one just pirates but the blood is already splattering.
