So good I read it to start and end my year!
In prep to soon read the sequels, I decided to close out my year rereading a book from the beginning of the year. I love this one, and I‘m excited to delve into more!
Ok, here‘s the thing. My birthday was several weeks ago, and I couldn‘t WAIT to open my #hhs23 package! So I did it. I opened it early. And I squealed when I saw the two Ghostland books—now I have the trilogy! I love this SO MUCH. The thing is, I threw away the box it came in and didn‘t write down who sent it to me. Which one of you amazing people had me as a match?? Because THANK YOU!! @wanderinglynn #hauntedhollowswap
My favorite book of February is another horror!
I loved this book! It‘s basically Jurassic Park, but with ghosts. Literally, it‘s a theme park of ghosts, and they get loose. It‘s a wild ride, and I was here for all of it! I loved the different exhibits, the glossary of ghosts, the appendix of the different ghosts/entities/places and their backstories, the link on the back to use your phone to make the book cover “come alive,” and web site I played on for a while…plus I didn‘t mind the ending.
Day 5's word for #ScarathlonDailyPrompts is Ghost.
Book I read 2 years ago about a haunted theme park where the attractions are filled with ghosts. What happens when the safeguards fail & the ghosts are let loose? Great concept but if I remember correctly the ending was disappointing.

I love the premise of this book. An amusement park with actual ghosts as the attraction. Let‘s face it, I‘m a sucker for stories set in amusement parks. The descriptions of the exhibits were amazing. The plot moved along quickly.
I was disappointed in the ending. We were in the middle of the confrontation with the head ghost when all of the sudden we jump to “six months later.” What!?! The lack of closure was upsetting. 3.5 stars
🎧 I enjoyed this ghost story. Being an essential employee my days are longer than pre-pandemic so I rarely pick up the companion book/e-book when I get home anymore. I miss that. Beware there are some gruesome moments in this book. Now I want to read another good ghost story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
Ghosts run amok at a haunted theme park. Enjoyed this for the most part. Although character development is sacrificed for pacing, it works. Slightly disappointed in the ending, but overall it was an entertaining (if gory in places) read & a great concept. 4🌟
